Awkwafina is an American performer and actor who started her career by performing clever hip-hop raps that addressed racial and sexual identities from an edgy and humorous perspective. After that, she branched out her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was through the instrument of trumpet. Later, she began hip-hop and classical training. While in college, she took classes in Women's Studies and Journalism. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. After graduation, she began to focus on music. After becoming famous on the Internet Her My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also contained hit songs with viral appeal, like the body positive Queef or winking hometown tour New York Bitche$. This track was also used as part of Awkwafina's NYC travel guide published in 2015. In addition to being a writer and musician as her credentials, she determined to pursue the role of a third-party actor. She's appeared in movies like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap.
