Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom", has gained lots of attention. Calvano grew up in California She was at first fascinated by competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue a career as an actor. On CBS's show "NCIS" the actress made her debut in the year 2010. A year later, her first big-screen appearance made it into the biographical crime movie J Edgar. She is one of the hottest actresses over the last few years. In 2011, she received the Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Television Series and Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, her performance as a special guest in Disney XD's comedy "Kickin The 'It'' received her nomination yet again for an award called a Young Artist Award. Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons. She also made several guest appearances during the fourth. She won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for the Best Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in 'Mom'.
